After installing SP1 through windows update, restarted the computer and boots to operating system not found. When I boot to recovery disk, it shows no operating system to choose from to repair.. and cant chkdsk because it shows drive is RAW. Also booted to winsuite liveboot, and attempted MBR fix with no luck. Ran HDD Regenerator and HDD passed 100%. Also reset the bios by unplugging battery for 20 minutes w/ no luck. Any ideas? Please help!!

Even though HDD regen read no bad sectors, I still think the drive is bad. Just Ordered a new HDD. But if anyone has any suggestions for me to possibly save the data on this drive that would be awesome! Thanks

Run Last Known Good configuration and see if it helps. Can't do anything in WinRE because in the recovery console there is no operating system to choose from, its just blank. And as far as last known config, it won't let me F8, after bios page, goes instantly to Operating System not found. Thanks for the reply though.
