Organization tab appear but organization data missing

In upgrading from office 2010 and lync 2010  to office 2013 the Lync 2013 Organization tab data is missing. The Gal files appear to be in the user profile directory.

I've cleaned the Outlook profiles and the Lync profile and allowed outlook and lync to rebuild them and still no organization data - the tab appears

Hi Pat Berscheid,

You may try the following suggestions.

1. Install the latest update for Lync 2013.

2. Try disabling Outlook cached mode, put it on Online mode and then close Lync and open it again.

If the issue still persists, you may try this.

a.  Navigate to  X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000 folder. (ABS file share)

b. Delete all the files in this folder.

c. Run Update-CsUserDataBase to force Back-End to re-read all the user-related information stored in Active Directory Domain Services.

d. Run Update-CsAddressBook

e. Delete local cache files on client computer.

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\sip_UserName@Domain.com

f. Sign in Lync and wait for the Lync client to download the latest Address Book.

Hope this can be helpful.

Eric

Hi Eric, the change to Cache mode will turn the organization tab on but it remains blank. I have some workstation where Lync 2013 gal data is correct and the org tab appears fine. Win7 os office 2013,ie11

I've cleared the user profile and let it rebuild - no change.

I set the group polices to display the organization tab - no change.

Is there addons in outlook or other policies pieces that need to be set?
