Outlook Express 6.0 sent messages not received
Some emails I send are not received by the recipients but I do not receive any error messages or other indications. I only find out when a recipient tells me he or she didn't receive the email. In one case I sent an email to 35 people using a group email address and none of them received the message. I then sent it again and all of them received it. I checked with my email service provider, Roadrunner, and they are unable to explain why this is happening. They suggest the problem might be in Outlook Express.1 person needs an answerI do too

If you can see a message in Sent Items, then it was received by the server (RR) and the problem lies either with your server, or farther down the road. There is one exception. E-mail scanning. It can fool OE into thinking the message was sent. Get rid of it.Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending and receiving, and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for loss of messages. Your up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your emailhttp://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm Note that for some AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in Custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the option arises.
