Outlook Express 6 and XP Home SP3
When I send the following message from one ISP site we use to Verizon.net, I get this(Only showing affected words): …Interesting –…live –…I’… When I send the same message to another ISP we have our website, I get the correct message as follows:Interesting –… live… – I’m… The dashes and the apostrophe is being replaced by the symbols Using Outlook Express 6 Have checked ” Always use default encoding for all incoming messages” Only happens on this computer using XP Home SP3 Two other computers, one on Windows 7 and one on XP Pro SP are fine 1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Judy123, Follow the below steps: Steps 1:Check the behavior by booting the computer in clean boot state.You may refer the below link on how to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353If the issue does not persist you may continue with step 2 from the above link.Make sure you reset the computer to normal mode after the troubleshooting completes. Refer the section “Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state” Step 2:Run online virus scan and check if any malware or virus activity found on the computer.
