Outlook Express with boxes with the red X in the message body
I had gotten a "virus" notice last night while viewing in a site. It was from windows security and put a line of the win logos in my OE taskbar.
When I clicked to open them, it wanted me to buy this & that and did nothing to resolve the problem.
I ran a complete Norton scan which removed 2 trojans.
Now, in my Outlook Express, I had always seen graphics in the messages, even without opening them. Now, I only see boxes with a red X in them.
I do see the message however, no graphics.
Is there a WIN SP2 or something which needs to be removed?
What must I do to restore this to the way it was?
Thank you1 person needs an answerI do too

1: Tools | Options | Security. Has "Block images............." become checked?
2: Download and run the free version of this tool.

3: After you get this issue resolved, if you are still running XP/SP2, I would recommend updating to SP3. Support for XP/SP2 ends in three months. Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]
