PAI missing Lineuri

Hello all,

I have a strange issue with CallerID not displaying to the Callee when a Lync EV user calls a PSTN number. Instead it is showing the TrunkID.

Various discussions with the SIP trunk provider have resulted in them claiming Lync is not sending the DDI to them, only the sipuri. The only discrepancy I've found so far, is that the lineuri appears to be missing from the P-Asserted-Identity header when running the Lync logs through snooper.

Just wondered if this sounded familiar to anyone?

This is Lync 2010 by the way.

Kind regards

Marc

Lync Server 2010 provides a way to manipulate the caller ID for outbound calls. For example, if an organization wants to mask employees direct-dial extensions and replace them with the generic corporate or departmental number, an administrator can now do that by using Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Control Panel to suppress the caller ID and replace it with a specified alternative caller ID.

Open Lync Control Panel, navigate voice routing, choose Route, check you have select the suppress caller ID.

Hi Lisa,

My thanks to you for taking the time to reply :)

As it happens, the reason why we noticed this issue is that we have lifted the caller ID suppression from the voice routes that was previously in place, so I am already aware of this option :)

Unfortunately, we want user's individual DDIs displayed to the callee, so this is not an option.

Kind regards

Marc
