PC Technical Services for malicious viruses
I've been contacted by phone by a PC technical services for M/S Windows (not sure if this is there name or just service they provide). My guess is they are an independent trying to make a buck. They say I have malicious stuff on my computer, are not selling anything and will walk me through to show me where it's at. My guess is once they show me during the phone call while I'm at my computer, they will try and sell me a "fix". I got their number to call back 201-844-6490 and the name of an agent Charles Brown. I told him I was suspicious of this kind of thing without prior notification from M/S Windows themselves. This is their second call to my home. Can you offer any information on this?1 person needs an answerI do too

It's a scam. No legitimate company makes unsolicited calls like that. Microsoft doesn't authorize anyone to make such calls. They're trying to steal your money, steal your identity, install malicious programs on your computer, etc.For more information, please see:Don’t fall for phony phone tech supportAvoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently .Boulder Computer MavenMicrosoft Most Valuable Professional
