PC crashing when gaming, BSOD
My pc has been having some problems lately, only when gaming. my setup: Windows 7 Professional (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601) 2.80 gigahertz AMD Phenom II X3 7206GB RAM (3x2GB) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 2 x Novita 22.1" 2202WHD Dual Monitors previously I had a NVIDIA GeForce GTX260, however it started having issues with over heating while gaming so I replaced it. now, however I have started getting a different crash, where after about half an hour of gaming (even quite low requirements games) i get blue screen and my pc restarts I'm pretty sure all my drivers are up to date, any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry, here is where you can get it (example) C:\Windows\Minidump\022710-26223-01.dmp http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html However, you may find using WinDbg of the Debugging Tools for Windows gives you more complete information. You can download the Debugging Tools for Windows from the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/default.mspx There is a tutorial in the following link on setting up WinDbg, such as setting the symbol path and utilizing the !analyze -v command: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/26584-2-intermediate-configuring-debugging-tools.html Regards Milos

nvlddmkm.sys UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP 0x0000007f This points to NVIDIA. If you really have the latest video driver, then there may be problem with hardware (overheating, faulting*)). Nevetheless give try to reinstalling the NVIDIA driver here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-296.10-whql-driver.html Do some basic test: 1. Memory - memtest 2. Harddisk - diagnostic tool depends on the disk vendor 3. Check consistency with sfc /scannow 4. Run the removal tool http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890830/en-us If you do not manage to find the root of problem, give a try to NVIDIA community. Chances are that this is NVIDIA specific problem Regards Milos *) It need not be intentional. Slightly larger voltage would result in current increase and the same is valid for heat generation. Output power of power supply should be larger than 450W from which the card takes up to 160W under normal conditions.
