PC jibs when trying to insert password
The question is about a second hand PC which has recently had all its software removed and then replaced in an unsuccessful effort to stop it jibbing when I enter my password. What happens is that sometimes the PC lets me enter the whole of the password and will start up OK; and sometimes it will only let me enter one of two parts of the password and then the mouse and keyboard stop working. It hasn't yet got to the stage it was at before the software removal when I couldn't even start entering the password.I'm wondering whether the problem is caused by the PC "remembering" an earlier and different password. If so, would removing the current password solve the problem, plse? And how do I do that?I've got IE8 and Norton 2010 loaded with my XP. However, I've got the same software loaded on my laptop (the computer I'm sending this from) and it's never played up.Please help.1 person needs an answerI do too
