Package data consumption
I just can't believe this. Every time I shut down my laptop then put it back on it consumes every bit of data available, that is immediately after turning on my connection. I have ensured all automatic updates are off but the problem still persists. I am spending too much money on this. Please help

Any live tiles on the start stream constantly update (like weather, news, etc).  You should turn them off and install a 3rd party app (Like net limiter) to keep track of what is using the data.  http://www.netlimiter.com/

Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

Hi,

In addition of what has been suggested by ZigZag, you also could block network access for certain program using network by using Windows Firewall with advanced security settings.

In the next menu chose Programm, press next, specify path to it, Choose Block connection.
