Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area - faulty memory?
Hi I've recently been receiving a few BSODs, usually when running chrome, but also when carrying out other tasks (backing up using windows backup, sycning music to iPod using iTunes etc.). Unfortunately usually the crash doesn't yield a minidump file (the crash is too severe?), however the crash tonight Windows 7 managed to catch a minidump file (see below). From what I've determined from searches both here and across the web, it seems that I might have a memory problem? I've run the diagnostic tests supplied by Dell in the BIOS (numerous RAM and HDD tests) which all passed fine, so too did a CHKDSK with no probelms at all. I've also run the windows memory diagnostic tool to check my RAM again, and that threw up no problems either. I've not recently installed any new hardware (it's a laptop). I'm reluctant to buy new RAM or replace the HDD until I'm certain that they've failed/failing... My specs are: Windows 7, 64 bit, 4Gb RAM, 2.4Ghz dual core processor, 256Mb dedicated graphics card. Thanks for any help you can provide! Hi, Please understand that to solid troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump and analyze the related source code if needed. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. I'd like to recommend you contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance so that this problem can be resolved efficiently. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the website below: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus Thanks for your understanding and cooperation! Thanks for your reply Miya, I'm being told that my Product ID (taken from system page) has expired?! My copy of Windows Home 7 is an official box copy, and is WGA approved/activated? I've tried from both Chrome and IE. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug on your system?
