Page File Error Message
Running Windows XP and with every bootup, I get the "no Page File" message. I then change it... have increased the values for the high and low to rediculous amounts for both hard drives, hit the Set button, and all of the others to exit, but I cannot do any MS Updates, the box still says that my page file is set to 0MB and when I reboot, start the process all over again. What gives? Why won't the settings changes stick?1 person needs an answerI do too

Do you have a anti-virus program and is it up to date on defintions ? I think you should scan your system for malware . There 2 programs you should scan your system with below . Download both the free versions and once installl ? Update them , then scan your system with each program but use one at a time , what ever it finds just remove . See if that helps you . http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

Thanx for your help. I'm running McAfee. But I did find the problem, and from an unexpected source. Had installed a 4-port USB hub with an additional USB PCI card out the back. An internal port on the card was causing all of this ____. Ran the cable out the back and plugged into the card from outside the case and... yahoo, it all went away. Go figure! All the resetting and making sure of security rights... hours.
