A Google search for that error message brings up a lot of links referring to games like BigFish games, Gamehouse games, etc. If the problem only happens when trying to start a particular game, uninstall/reinstall it. Or contact the game's tech support. If it happens with all programs, then you have something running in the background. I have malewarebytes anti-malware software on my computer already, but I can't access the app to run a scan. Also, I recently downloaded a new user set of Super Granny 5 from the Sandlot games website, which started the problem. However, I can't access the game to uninstall or delete the user set.

What do you mean you can't run a scan with MalwareBytes? What happens when you try? The error is coming from that Super Granny 5 game but if you can't run MBAM or uninstall Super Granny from Add/Remove programs, something else is wrong.
