Permissions and startup questions
Hello,
I am usings Windows 7 Home Premium and have some permission problems that I do not understand. My account is an administrator account, yet when I try to run ACT! it says that I'm not an administrator. The only way that I could run it is to right-click on
the ACT! icon and select "run as administrator"? How do I fix my account so that I do not have to do that for any more software?
Now that I've done that, every time that I turn on my laptop, I get a dialog box, asking if it is ok for ACT to modify the system (or something like that). How do I get rid of that message box?
In Windows XP, I had rights to all of the folders on the hard drive, like the startup folder. In Windows 7, I don't. How do I remove an application from the startup folder if I don't have access to the folder in C:\users?
The Documents and Settings folder is also locked. How do I unlock it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
