Please tell me what information can be discovered by my MAC address and what this info means (listed in post) i.e. name, address, ect.
Does my MAC address list my name, street address, ect? How do I find out exactly what the MAC address tells me? I know it's the "physical address" of my laptop, but what exactly does that mean? This is what my MAC address says: 00-26-6c-44-4d-00 Media

No information aside from possibly the card's manufacturer can be gleaned from a card's MAC address. Now, your
public IP address, that's a different matter...

In addition to Bob's response, outside of the local subnet, your MAC address is useless to anyone else on a remote subnet, Internet, etc.. The MAC address is required for layer 2 delivery of packets
within the same subnet.
