Hi,

I'm trying to update a CX 700 externally trough OCS update services running in a Datacentre.

My setup is followed:

- I have setup 2  external DNS records UCUPDATES.blabla.com and UCSUPDATE-R2.blbal.com
- I have configured my HTTP reverse proxy (ISA 2006) and i can confirm that i can achieve http and https request to my pool (OCS update service is running on the same server)
- MY autodiscover works OK as it's connecting to my pool
- I can confirm that my CX 700 is connecting to the Edge server for auth. I get the "Authentication completed. Retrieveing user information"
- THe CX 700 keeps rebooting in some kind of loop and then i get the error " Cannot find the Certificatie,domain is not accesible"

Now the following thing are logged :

- IIS log nothing. I don't see ANYTHING on HTTP or HTTPS coming to my IIS server
- I don't see the logs\server\audit\imageupdates\ as the only directory existing is LOGS (rest is empty. NTFS access is OK)

Now i red some thing that the CX 700 needs to be connected internally first to get the ROOT certificate. Is this correct ?Could it be that this is the reason it's doesn't do any HTTP request to the OCS updates.

I check my virtual dirs and configured it like stated in http://blogs.technet.com/ucspotting/archive/2009/03/11/troubleshooting-ocs-2007-r2-device-update-service-for-communicator-phone-edition.aspx

The CX 700 is running 1.0.522.71. I red something about a minimum of 101 is required for "normal" behavior.

So...has anyone got any ideas? It's driving me nuts.

Good and bad news:

I connected the CX  700 to my internal network. It installed the certificate but still i get authentication completed. Retrieving user information.

The new thing is. I got logging!

Now why isn't it updating? I verified the client filter. The firmware is on allow. I verified SSL on the deviceupdate files int if it requires SSL. Looks al ok.

I implemented WINS with the appriopiate mappings to the DC and ucupdates-r2. (I red it somewhere...)

So what it going wrong here?

We managed to fix it with Microsoft PSS. (was a bug)

I know it's been a long time since this post, but what exactly did you do to fix it?
