Prevent Windows Overriding Wallpaper Set

I'm having a recurring issue where I will set up a desktop theme with one set of wallpapers. After a day or two, Windows will automatically replace that theme with a new unnamed theme that is nearly identical but includes a different set of wallpapers. I would like Windows to stick with the theme I had selected.

My setup is two 1920x1080 monitors (one connected by DVI, the other HDMI), an NVidia graphics card (GTX 770, latest drivers), and Windows 8.1 x64 (6.3.9600).

Any help you could offer would be appreciated.
