Print Management Console Flooding Network
This issue was present in Vista and is still present in 7:Current setup: Windows VISTA or 7 x64 at location A. 30 Win2k3 TS servers at location B, each TS has approx 400 print drivers installed.Location A is connected via 10Mbit WAN link to Location B.Scenario:When opening print management on Vista/7 and refreshing the view on one of the TS it refreshes driver listings on all. Network usage goes from nil/low to full 10mbit on Vista and approx 6Mbit on 7 for an extended period of time (Vista it was hours). I have not tested the duration on 7 as I cannot afford to saturate the WAN link. The "mesa" on the network traffic below is the Print Management console. The only reason it dropped is because I closed the console.
