Printer issue tied to security?
I wasn't sure what section to add this to, but since it is access denied, I thought it might be a security issue. Our software vendor has a program that creates a receipt that is emailed. As part of the process a pdf is created
using Bullzip pdf. Once in awhile this works ok on Windows 7 machines, but most of the time we get an event id 372. The specific message says MS Word - form letters1, owned by xx, failed to prit on printer bullzip pdf printer. Try to print
the doc again or restart the print spooler. Data type: NT EMF 1.008. Size of the spool file is bytes: 331540. Number of types printed: 0. Total number of pages in doc 1. Number of pages printed: 0. Client Computer
XXX. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 5 - access is denied. We have tried granting full access to the spool folder in windows\system 32 and have tried creating another spool folder in the c drive and giving full access to
that. (At that time we changed the properties so the printer spooled to the new folder). Nothing has helped... UAC is turned off and the user has been made a local admin. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It would be best to contact the softare vendor on this problem. Verifiy that the software is designed for Windows 7 and the correct architecture (32 or 64-bit) or that you have the latest updates\patches.
Turning off UAC and making a user a local administrator has created a security risk. I would recommend that you return the user to a standard user and enable UAC.
