Printer not printing
I have recently installed a Epson Stylus CX3900 scanner/printer onto my laptop. I am trying to send a test page to the printer to see if it has been installed properly and all I seem to get is "printer: Error". I have already updated the driver for the printer to use the current driver and am still getting the error message. I have also tried to install using the software that came with the printer and it seemed to install everything else except for the printer driver parts of the installation. I have racked my brains to try to figure out the problem, even running the error checking component on the printer window when it come up. It is connected to the laptop by USB connection and was not detected when plugged in. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Did you install the driver before you plugged in the printer? Try another usb cable.

I know this sounds way too simple (and maybe it is) but maybe the USB cord isn't pushed all the way into the back of the printer. It sounds stupid, but I know it's happened to me before. Good luck!
