Printing problem using windows 7
I get an error while trying to print to an hp photosmart 3310. Troubleshooter cannot find any problems. I've loaded and reloaded driver updates, turned the printer on and off, but the error continues. The printer works from my laptop running XP.

Uninstall ALL the HP software and unplug the usb cable from the printer. Go here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=4062&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=439491 and select which software you want to install - most everyone get the 362 megs of bloatware ;-) start the install, it should at some point prompt you to plug in the printer. If necessary and ONLY if necessary (if some fuctions don't work) apply the update dated 12/2009 but thats a fix when you go from Vista to Windows 7. It has worked for a lot of people I've pointed to that file. But since you've already done several things already, its just better to unstall all your HP software and start fresh.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. If the issue persists after trying cdobbs's suggestion, please provide the error message while printing. Also, please make sure if the issue occurs in all programs such as Microsoft Word or Notepad. Besides, check if the issue is document related as well.
