Hi Folks,I've had this issue already when I installed XP SP2 way back and this is a link to a hotfix that resolved this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930618), but I was wondering has any one worked around this problem in W7b2. Basically I connect to my HP C6180 printer through an ad-hoc connection, but I also have an external drive connected to the printer that I was able to map. However any card I enter does not seem to work. I have network discovery, etc. turned on, but to no avail. I know it's not a very pressing issue, but any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

Hi, We have not released this hotfix for Windows 7 beta. If the symptom of your issue is quite the same as the description in the KB article, I will make a bookmark which indicates that this issue is not correct in Windows 7 beta. Our development will notice that.Arthur Xie - MSFT

I have got the same issue with Windows 7 RTM (with all updates installed).The hotfix does not work because it's incompatible with windows 7.I'm using a Photosmart 2575 trying to access the network_card share. (latest driver/software)Please help!

Hi All, Downloaded the latest driver for C6180 from HP website. Still the MEMORY_CARD share can not be mapped/accessed from my new Win7 64bit HP laptop (2-days old). From windows explorer, the "Memory_Card" share can be seen but can not be accessed. My other Windows machines (XP SP3, Vista) can access memory_card properly(z: drive by default). HP mahine can not work right with HP printer (rather new model)! Regards, Jon
