1. In a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type REGSVR32 APPWIZ.CPL (the capitals are for clarity only but note the space) and press Enter. Then again type REGSVR32 MSHTML.DLL and press Enter.2. If the above is not successful, run your ‘anti’ programs as it could be an infection.

I have tried both and have the problem on 3 computers. All only populate the programs beginning with the letter A. I have checked the registry and the uninstalls are all there. I have run a couple antivirus softwares and dont detect any viruses. When I run the first command it comes back OK and"DllRegisterServer in APPWIZ.CPL succeeded When I run the second command it comes back"MSHTML.DLL was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found" "MSHTML.D:: does nt appear to be a .DLL or .OCX file"

.... only populate the programs beginning with the letter A.... Ah, a huge blank space in it, rather than being completely empty, can be caused by the DisplayIcon registry value for an item having a negative number. In a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type regedit, press Enter and in the left pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. Scroll down the subkeys in the left pane and look at the corresponding value of DisplayIcon in the right pane. If the end of any of the lines has a negative number, say -1, right-click it and Modify it to 1 (one). If you're nervous about making registry changes, create a system restore point or back up the registry before making any changes.

BurrWalnut,Thanks for your help on this. I get the same response that pt2pt.dt lists above when I try your first suggestion. However, my Add/Remove list has nothing (as opposed to the issue above with programs beginning with 'A').Will your suggestion sent at 7:58 Tuesday morning apply to my scenario as well? Thanks

For those of you with Add/Remove having large white space or apparently stopping on A...Do you now or have you ever had any AutoCAD applications installed? Do, or do not. There is no try.I decided to save up points for a new puppy instead of a pony!

Will your suggestion sent at 7:58 Tuesday morning apply to my scenario as well?I don’t think you have the same issue, but there is no harm in looking at the registry key.If there is an entry with a minus sign, just change it as I stated above.Additionally, I vaguely remember an issue in Windows 98 where the Add or Remove display halted if the uninstall string was longer than 60 or 70 characters. Have a look in the right pane at UninstallString and its contents for any irregularities.
