Problem with PPTP internet connection
Hello!I connect to the internet through a PPTP connection. Manually connecting works without problems but letting Windows automatically connect through this connection does not work.The connection dialog (sorry, don't know how to translate it)doesn't find any connections, although I definitely have one and it also worked in Win XP.I took a look at the ipconfig output of the PPTP adapterin Win XP and 7 and they look different:Win XP:PPP-Adapter xDSL: Verbindungsspezifisches DNS-Suffix: Beschreibung. . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface Physikalische Adresse . . . . . . : 00-53-45-00-00-00 DHCP aktiviert. . . . . . . . . . : Nein IP-Adresse. . . . . . . . . . . . : 85.127.231.xxx Subnetzmaske. . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255 Standardgateway . . . . . . . . . : 85.127.231.xxx DNS-Server. . . . . . . . . . . . : 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220Win 7:PPP-Adapter xDSL: Verbindungsspezifisches DNS-Suffix: Beschreibung. . . . . . . . . . . : xDSL Physikalische Adresse . . . . . . : DHCP aktiviert. . . . . . . . . . : Nein Autokonfiguration aktiviert . . . : Ja IPv4-Adresse . . . . . . . . . . : 85.127.231.xxx(Bevorzugt) Subnetzmaske . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255 Standardgateway . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0 DNS-Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 195.34.133.21 212.186.211.21 NetBIOS ber TCP/IP . . . . . . . : AktiviertAs you can see the standardgateway in Win 7 is not set, whereas in Win Xp it's the same as the IP-address.Can this be the culprit?Thanks and best regards!
