Problem with failover BackEnd Lync 2010

Hi,

We use a lync 2010 entreprise edition. We have a cluster of 2 Back-END.

But when one of them crashes, sometimes, we lose the connectivity to the adress book for 10 minutes on lync client. The sql services is ok after 5 seconds, but not the client.

We need to restart the client (or to delete cache files) to be more reactive.

Is-it normal? I don't find anything on it?

Hi,

The users experience when a Lync Enterprise Edition FE's backend SQL cluster moves Database from 1 node to another is that they will get the "Limited Functionality" message and logout/login.

When the client is in this mode, Enterprise Voice functionality would work, but features like configuring Sim Ring, Conferencing and other services that relied on the back-end database are no longer available.

Thanks for your answer, but sometimes, I haven't perturbations even if the cluster moves from 1 node. Is-it a special case where the limited functionality appears?
