Problem with redirected folders and sync
Have a problem with some users and redirected folders. Normally all well, but have seen issues where the user is working "offline" with Direct Access. Saves a word document and all looks good. But when connecting to the network in the office, the file is not there. Looking at Offline Files the file is there with the correct size and date, but greyed out and with a cross over the file icon. Sometimes it will change and say size is 0, but now sync and file is not accessible offline or online

Hi, This issue occurs may be caused by the offline files have not finished syncing or incorrect permission setting. Please have a try to do a full sync when it is connected and then manually disconnect as a test. In addition, the redirected folder share needed "domain users" to be given the "Traverse folder/execute file" and "List folder/reed data" permission. Without this set, folder synchronization and offline files could not negotiate the path to the redirected folder.Kim Zhou TechNet Community Support
