Problems post installation SP1 on VISTA ULTIMATE Network adapter not working bucket id 649917236
Everything was working fine at least all the network adapters before installing SP1. I was able to connect to the internet via a wired connection previously, now no. I am only able to connect via wireless at a much lower rate. I have tried reinstalling the drivers with and with out UAC on. I have turned off the firewall and tried the same reinstallation. I am not yet able to connect via the wired adapter. I have an nVidia nForce Network controller with the latest NVidia driver 2007-07-30 67.5.8.0 I have an ASUS M2N32-SLI deluxe mB. I can get the wireless network adapter working (Realtek RTL8187 Wirelesss 802.1 1b/g 5 Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter) but not the wired adapter. This is the error report that I keep on getting: Product Diagnostic Service Host Problem Stopped working Date 2008-04-25 21:55 StatusReport Sent Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: svchost.exe_WdiServiceHost Application Version: 6.0.6001.18000 Application Timestamp: 47918b89 Fault Module Name: StackHash_263a Fault Module Version: 6.0.6001.18000 Fault Module Timestamp: 4791a7a6 Exception Code: c0000374 Exception Offset: 000b015d OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 4105 Additional Information 1: 263a Additional Information 2: bf2b094af5ca313657e0fd5fc3403d58 Additional Information 3: 5269 Additional Information 4: 4dada7851b1ebe936665642d5fe14065 Extra information about the problem Bucket ID: 649917236 any suggestions? Hi Chris, From the output of the error report you copied, it indicates the service Diagnostic Service Host crashes. Please understand that Microsoft provides different support services which have different service levels and support boundaries. For crash issues, it is necessary to debug the related crash dump files to locate the root cause. However, debugging is out of our Forum support boundary. Id like to recommend that you contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance, the support professionals there are better qualified to assist you. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS Thank you for your understanding. Recently, I am not sure if the network connectivity issue is related to this crash issue. I would like to confirm the following information with you: 1. What status is the wired network adapter shown in Device Manager? 2. Is the wired connection displayed in the Network Connections panel? If so, can it get IP address from the DHCP server? 3. Is there any error received why trying to use the wired connection to access the Internet? Thanks.
