Problems seeing Desktop from Laptop
I'm trying to setup a peer to peer network for home. I cannot access my Desktop from my laptop and viceversaHere's the deal..2 PC's1 Belkin Wireless G RouterBoth Windows Vista HOme PremiumOne is a laptop. Named LAPTOPOne is a desktop named DESKTOPWorkgroup setup as WORKGROUP on both machinesBoth can access the internetBOth are set to obtain an IP automaticallyI cannot ping LAPTOP from DESKTOP and vice versa.I cannot see DESKTOP from LAPTOP, but I can see LAPTOP from DESKTOP, though I cannot access them either way.The IP on the router is 192.168.2.1THe IP on the desktop is192.168.2.2The IP on the Laptop is 192.168.2.3Subnet is 255.255.255.0On the LAPTOP, if I go into start > Network, I can see the "Residential Gateway". I cannot see the Desktop.I can ping the IP of the router from the DESKTOP, but I cannot ping the IP of the router from the LAPTOPWhat am I missing here?
