Problems with Peer-to-Peer network
I am connected directly to an ethernet cable on my laptop. My mom's laptop cannot get internet because we only have 1 ethernet cable. So i decided to create an Ad-hoc network so my mom can connect to my computer and get internet from there. It was succesfully created and i told my mom to go and connect to this network. (i don't know if this matters or not but i put an WEP password on it). My mom connected successfully. But when she opened Internet Explorer, there is no internet. HELP!

Any chance you can try WPA instead? WEP not being very secure may just not work very well in Windows 7

i first used WPA2-Personal, then I tried WEP but my mom still couldn't get internet. Also, WEP works well anyway. That is what I use to connect to the internet back home (we are away and there is only a DSL cable to connect to the internet).
