I have a new computer with Windows 7. I have the power setting on the "balanced" option with the display set to turn off in 30 minutes and the computer to sleep in 30 minutes. The problem is when I try to wake it; I have found the by right clicking the mouse it will wake up normally with no problems only about half the time. The other times it wakes up to only my screen background and not the desktop. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your BIOS for S1 to S3 settings. These control how your computer sleeps or hibernates. Jerry
