Prompt for Credentials When Accessing FQDN Sites for Windows 8 & 8.1

Hi

I am working to enable single sign-on to access WebDAV server from many Windows 8 or 8.1 users.

The goal is that all users are not necessary to enter credentials again to access WebDAV documents after they logged on Windows.

I checked that Windows Vista or Windows 7 should apply some registry changes. How about Windows 8 or 8.1?

Many thanks!

Hi Lau,

When there is a dot (.) in the URL, IE will prompt for credentials. Add http://intranet.domainname.com to the Intranet Zone in IE. The Intranet Zone, by default, automatically passes credentials.
