RDP over a RAS connection
My client recently started purchasing Win 7 laptops. Their accounting staff uses a RAS dial in to get to the network, then RDP to the Terminal Server. XP worded fine and still works fine. The @#$#@$# Win 7 laptops can RDP to the terminal server if they are in the office but RDP won't connect across the RAS connection. Help!!

Another possible reason is that Windows 7 computers do not obtain valid IP address even they connect to the work network via RAS dial-up. How do you dial up? Are you using any third party tools? What is the RAS server? Antivirus may block the IP address from the DHCP server after connecting to RAS. You may temporary disable the antivirus and check the result. I suggest you try Rasdial command lines in Windows 7.
