RDP session from one Windows 7 machine to another logs off the user automatically after about 10 minutes
I have a rather strange issue. I have various users using RDP to connect to their machines while working at remote stations around the building (like when a person is covering the phones for the receptionist). The issue is occasionally a user will be logged off of their machine automatically after about 10 minutes. Not only is the user disconnected from their machine but all of the programs that they had open on their machine are closed. It appears the remote machine is being completely logged off. I thought maybe it was an Idle timeout issue but the users are actively working on their machine so the connection isn't idle. I checked all the GPOs in AD and don't see anything configured related to Terminal Services or Remote Desktop Services. Does anyone know anything that would cause a remote RDP session to automatically logout after a certain period of time?

Hi, According the issue, I recommend that you may enable the Service Audit, then check the log. Please take the following steps to enable Audit Policy: 1. Click Start button, type gpedit.msc in Search Bar. Press Enter. 2. Move to Local Computer Policy-> Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies ->Audit Policy. 3. Find the item ---“ Audit account logon events”, double click the item. 4. Check “Success” and “Failure”. Press OK. Then check the Windows security log which related the account logon failure after you start up the computer. https://by1.storage.live.com/items/BA19254FED6CB398!133:Scaled1024/audit.png?psid=1&ck=0&ex=Find the Audit Failure log then post the detail information here.
