Random problem with internet connectivity in Vista
I started noticing this problem a few months after installing Vista on my primary home computer. Often when I browse to a website the browser will tell me that the page is unavailable, it's the usual message you get if the server is disconnected from the internet and thus unreachable for my browser. The problem is that it's fake, if I hit F5 the page loads as usual, but a few times several refreshes are needed to get the page loaded. The same thing happens when sending emails via SMTP. I have a laptop that's also running Vista. It connects to all the same network devices as the home computer. It never have problems with network connectivity. This leads me to believe that the hardware or software on the desktop computer is to blame.I swapped my Asus P5B board for a P5B Premium one, the problem perisists.I've tried connecting the network to the other network adapter onboard, but the problem is still there. The drivers are new and I've tried removing the network devices from the device manager, letting Vista reinstall the drivers. All to no avail.I can't pinpoint what hardware or software was installed or changed when this started.Have anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix available?
