Reading .hlp file on Vista 64 bit
I have installed winhlp32 and have made the registry changes recommended in this bulletin: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/917607I am using a standalone PC, not networked. However I stil get this message when I try to open a hlp file: 'Cannot display this Help file. Try opening the Help file again, and if you still get this message, copy the Help file to a different drive, and try again. (136)' It feels like it is something to do with file access settings but I cannot make anything work. Any ideas? Thanks.Alistair

Hi Alistair, you can try copying the file to another directory and then rename it then check if you can open it. Sean Zhu - MSFT
