Received my uprade to W7 from Dell, after installing I can no longer print, access desktop computer, fax or scan
This has go to be something simple to fix as with vista I could do all things w7 will not do now. any help would be gratefully accepted, as I find that both Dell and MS do not offer support for the w7 product without paying an additional fee now that it is installed.

Hi, First, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. Which version of Windows 7 is installed on the computer, Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate? 2. Is the printer installed on the Windows 7 machine or on a network computer? 3. How does the computer connect to Internet, via DSL or router? At this stage, I suggest you perform the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Plug the printer to Windows 7 machine directly and access the printer again. Does the printer work fine now? 2. Temporarily turn off firewall on each machine for a test. If the issue persists, please collect the following information for research. 1. Click the Start Button and type "cmd" (without quotation marks) in the open box. 2. Right click CMD and click "Run as Administrator" option, and then click Yes. 3. In the open command window, input the following command and press Enter Key after it. Ipconfig /all >C:\pingresult.txt 4. Please open Computer and navigate to C:\ folder to find the "pingresult.txt" file and post the result here. Thanks, Novak

Is the current user account is an administrator account? If not, please switch to a administrator account and then type the command again.Meanwhile, I would like to confirm whether the problematic machine can access the host machine successfully. Please refer to the link below to re-configure the network printer.File and Printer Sharing in Windows Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspxThanks,Novak
