Reconnecting an external hard drive automatically in the network.
Hi guys, I have an external hard drive connected to my xp pro pc. The external hard drive is shared within my network for backup purpose. From time to time, I take my external hard drive with me at work to copy some of my personal files and plug it back again in my home network. Lately its been a pain that I have to do the same thing over and over again when sharing my external hard drive in my network and had to configure it as well in my laptop to map it out. Is there any quick way that I can config something in my pc meaning like if I take it out and put the extrenal hd again back to my network, it will automatically reconnect again without going to those steps again. I've noticed in my work that when a network drive is not available for a couple of hours and put it back again, I don't have to do some mapping steps and there it is available again. Baically, that's what I want to find out. Many thanks. 1 person needs an answerI do too
