Redirected LPT ports giving denied access errors on domain with Windows 7 32-bit
Newly installed Windows 7 Pro configured for a Point of Sale register. On the domain the application requires use of LPT ports for printing within the app. The login script properly maps all of the lpt ports and you can visually see the mapping on the PC with a Net Use command. The PC has a local LPT1 port and it works perfectly, but none are accessible using an LPT number above 1. Cannot print from the command prompt or the Cobol program all other PCs on the domain can use. Local user has administrative privilege to the PC.

You may have enabled the physical LPT port at LPT2 and LPT3 so only LPT1 can be used. If you disable the local physical LPT from BIOS the issue should be resolved.
