Relocated Documents on Mapped Network Drive = Big Issues!
Please let me know if I should post this in another location.
I have been working with a client who has an existing network which consists of a linux data server. Each Vista PC has Drive U: mapped to their personal data folder on the linux machine. There is no problem there. Now when I moved their documents folder to the mapped drive it all went fine just as it does with windows xp. In fact I thought everything was perfect until a day or two later when the users started complaining that they could not install many typical software applications. They were all getting a messege that said "cannot access invalid drive:U" and the install would crash out.
Firstly has anyone else ran in to this and if so has anyone found a fix for this problem?
Thanks,
Tony
