Remote Desktop in RC 7 is very slow and shows for minutes only black screen. Tried to install RMD XP but it is not working anymore on Win 7. Any solutions

Are you remoting in to the Windows 7 computer or out to another computer? I use remote desktop to connect to local and remote computers as part of my job. I haven't noticed any slowdowns on outgoing connections.Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience

I use the name (dyndns) but since I switched from Vista to Win 7 I got this problem - all other things the same. To remark here is that I have to use a very slow dial up connection and I guess it is because the 256 color option is missing in the new Win 7.

Just checked with my PDA (even slower connection) - I get a much better response time from the PDA. I connect to Win 2000 servers & XP. It is not workable on Win7 - any way to get the 256 color option to check if this might be the problem ? How & where can I make a report to Microsoft ?

Hello ledcom,Well you could think of this forum as a giant bug report or you could open up the Start menu and select run, then type rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard . -Scott
