Remote desktop connection between Windows 7 Home Premium (laptop) and Windows Vista Home Premium (home PC)
I am really confused with all the information about remote desktop connections which is available online. I work from home and need to set it up in order to access my home computer when I'm away on holiday and business trips. I'd like to be able to access my outlook and other files too (e.g. Word, Excell). I am happy to upgrade systems on the PC or a laptop if necessary but need an advice which system on which computer will have to be upgraded to be able to access my home computer when I'm away. Thank you very much for your help in advance! :) Mirek

If you want RDC with Windows 7 your desktop must be running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate. Only these versions can act as an RDC host. Home Basic, Starter and Home Premium can be an RDC client. There are third party utilities, both free and paid for, which will allow you to do what you want.
