Remote desktop issue
I am using windows 7 Remote desktop client. When I remote desktop to my work laptop running XP, the remote desktop keeps on disconnecting very often. At other times it is very slow and the screen freezes. This issue did not happen when I had Windows XP at home computer. Please help.

Hi, I would like to suggest you test the issue in Clean Boot first. If the issue persists in Clean Boot, I also would like to suggest you temporarily uninstall antivirus program and disable firewall to test the issue. Regards,Arthur Li - MSFT

I tried this. The issue still exists even after I disabled all services other than Microsoft. I tried disabling firewall too. The issue still exists. I had even tried MTU adjustment which is mentioned elsewhere.

Have you tried connecting to the remote computer from some other machine. It can also be a bandwidth/Connection issue, do check on the same too.. - Mukesh

I tried to do this from another computer at work. That worked fine. I ran the DSL speed test. It gave a results of 5.2 Mbps. I did not see this issue with same download speed earlier.

Unfortunately I DON'T have an answer for the original poster on his problem, HOWEVER I do wonder WHY Arthur Li - MSFT has seen fit to mark an UNRESOLVED issue as answered? Seems kinda BOGUS to me... Just sayin'...
