Removal of iesecurity.com
My wife was surfing the web. A screen popped up warning her to take immediate action against virus/spyware. It was a scam. She fell for it. It did a fake scan, then a screen popped up asking for payment, which she ignored. Now, however, we keep getting a popup which appears to come from iesecurity.com. It obviously infected us with something. It blocks even the safest sites, such as microsoft from loading.I ran the malicious software removal tool from microsoft. This resulted in nothing found. My avast antivirus and anti spyware program does not find it either.I need to know how to get rid of it. I did a google search, but I am not sure if the fixes that I found are really of help or are just another scam put forward by this same rogue antivirus outfit. Please help.
