Hi Mo Brown, ·What is the make and model number of the computer?·What happens when you try to connect to the Internet? Do you get any error message or error code? Check the status of network adapter in device manager:a. Click on startb. Click on runc. Type in devmgmt.mscd. In device manager window search for network adapter devicee. If the device is listed expand the item and check if any error code or yellow bang in displayed. To install drivers for network adapter you may have to login to computer manufactures website and install the same Also refer the below links: How to manage devices in Windows XP:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283658 To install a device:http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/hardware_install_pnp_device.mspx?mfr=true To make an Internet connection:http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/howto_i_client.mspx?mfr=true Adding to the above information, I would also suggest you to install service pack 3 on your computer.
