Roaming Profile Architecture Changes
Does anyone know of any roaming profile architecture/feature documentation for windows 7?

This applies to Vista, but should be relevant for Windows 7: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766489.aspx until Microsoft finalizes Windows 7s documentation.

Thanks for the reply, Im alreadyfamiliar with that documentation.I guess I will just have to wait for Windows 7 documentation to become available. It would have been nice if they introduced hybrid profiling, or another architecture shift.I guess this wont happen till another major client OS re write.Mesh will step in to help on the folder redirect side, i guess.

So for from what I have seen, Windows 7 seems to perform the same on a domain as Vista when it comes to roaming profiles and redirected folders. However, if you have had the chance, you may want to take a look at Windows Server 2008. Some of its GPOs only apply to Vista/7 and seem to have additional granularity for the newer OS. There may be additional features available with a Server 2008, Windows 7 combination that is not available with Server 2003 R2. Head on over to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/trial-software.aspx to download a Server 2008 evaluationyou can actually evaluate/test/use it up to 240 days.
