if the Wan link the failed. Branch SBA to SBA connection must go to PSTN? dial extension number will go to PSTN out? or it is base on PSTN gateway configuration?

SBA to SBA didn't have cache user information on each branch office? Branch SBA to SBA  MPLS connection is still available and FrontEnd server connection is not available only.

Base on my understanding, if the WAN link between Central site and the SBA fail, Branch SBA to other Branch SBA need to connection through PSTN. The SQL Server Express in SBA is the local user data storage.

It works based on the voice policies that you configure. You cannot have SBA to SBA failover configuration. If the FE server's not there, then the calls can be routed over PSTN based on the voice routing configuration

How about Internal lync to lync call on SBA?

How about Lync to analogy gateway call , internal through local Audio Gateway to analogy gateway internally.

If it's within the SBA, calls will route as usual. If you have FSX connected to the SBA, then you can use them as well. It's all within the same SBA\SBC
