SIP invites from branch site to central site

Hi all,

When the user homed in a branch site SBA is trying to reach the user in central site, whether the SIP requests reach the front-end server? Also in another scenario where the users homed at SBA are calling each other will the SIP requests reach the front end server at central site?

Thanks,

Hi,

If the second user is in the central site, the signalling will go through the primary pool as this is the registrar the second user is located at.
You should be seeing the primary pool's name in the first INVITE header and later at the progress report (101) where the primary server or pool will report "Request was proxied to one or more registered endpoints".

This is true for both IM and Audio scenarios.

Once the connection is established, the users will begin a P2P RTC session.

Thanks for the quick reply. In the scenario where the two users are homed at a branch site, will signalling messages reach the front-end server? In this case since the registrar is SBA for both the users, will the front end server see the signalling requests?

No SIP requests will be sent to the primary pool as both users reside on the SBA.
