SP1 broke screen saver timeout.
After deploying SP1 to all of our Windows 7 workstations, the screen saver timeout in group policy is no longer affecting these machines. Has anybody else seen this or have any ideas? Thanks, Zak

Hi Zak, Would you please let me know if the computer cannot enter to screen saver mode or the screen goes into black? Please understand if any software is preventing the computer from dropping into hibernate, the screensaver wasn't working. Also a wireless mouse can cause "activity" to occur preventing the hibernate. First, please set the screen saver manually. Right click the desktop -> Personalize -> Screen Saver -> choose the picture and set the time. After upgrading SP1, I suggest also updating all device drivers again. If the issue persists, please open an elevated CMD windows and type the following command. Powercfg /requests You can check if there is any device preventing the computer from dropping into hibernate.
