SSPR Rich Client on Wireless Laptop

We recently deployed SSPR on our desktop PCs and we are now looking to install the rich client on our laptops. I am running into an issue where I install the rich client on my laptop and attempt to use the password reset functionality from the windows login screen. Since my laptop has not authenticated to the network I receive an error "An error has occurred. Please contact your helpdesk or system administrator for assistance. Error Code: 40007"

Is there any way I can get my laptop to authenticate to our network without logging into the laptop first?

I would recommend changing GPO for laptop computers so it would enable pre-logon authentication in domain. Please see here how to configure it:

If you want to use SSPR rich client in remote locations, think about DirectAccess.

After completing step where you enter "netsh wlan show profile". I only have a group policy profile available, would i add the same registry key or would it be required to be added to the group policy?

There's no difference as even if you add it in group policy, it would be propagated after login and it will stay there. Both of them would work after restarting computer (I am assuming that you would be logged on for a short time to domain to fetch new GPO settings)

I thought that was the case unfortunately adding the registry key did not resolve the issue. I still recieved the same error.
