Hi, I have a problem with adding windows 7 machine to Samba domain (version 3.4.7-0.50.fc9). I've tried some options to solve this but with no success: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2171571 http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Windows7 also some local security policy settings: - network security: LAN Manager authentification level - send LM&NTLM responses - minimum session security for NTLM SSP - no minimum The only result I got - machine started to see the network(after I changed the network from being work to home). Hi, What is the error message you received when trying to join the domain? Can Windows 7 see Samba sharing files? I find a similar issue. The message I get is: "The following error occured attempting to join the domain "" The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted" Windows 7 can see samba shares in case of direct path, but only because I changed the network type to home, in case of work network it's not possible.
